A Digital Gathering Place for Indigenous Education
The National Centre for Collaboration in Indigenous Education (NCCIE) was created as an ambitious national initiative to connect communities and share stories, knowledge and resources about Indigenous education across Canada.
Hosted by First Nations University of Canada and supported by significant Government of Canada funding, the initiative brought together hundreds of community stories, educational resources, videos, maps and other culturally rich content.
Amplify provided branding, strategic direction, information and data architecture, and comprehensive visual design for the data-driven resource platform. Our challenge was to help transform a complex collection of interconnected information into an engaging, intuitive digital experience — while creating a visual environment with the richness and stature appropriate to the initiative and its subject matter.
Working in partnership with Engineered Code Ltd., who provided the technical implementation, we helped shape a platform capable of organizing, searching and exploring Indigenous education resources in multiple ways while allowing the stories and knowledge of participating communities to remain at the centre of the experience.
